Sustainable Pallet World
The Migros Familypark is a playground by the Lake of Zurich, which was built as a place for families during the Euro 08 soccer championsship. It includes various areas for outdoor games, a foodcourt with bar and rooftop terrace as well as a stage used for shows and public entertainment. For sustainability reasons, the main material to build the park was the the “Euro Pallet”. 8000 factory new pallets were used to create the terrain and the buildings. After the championship the park was dismantled and the paletts are now serving their original purpose in logistics of everyday goods.
